Abdülaziz Ceylan, Konya'nın eski halı atölyeleri arasında büyüdü. Babası bir halı dokuma ustası ve annesi ise ev yapıştırma işine yatan bir ev hanımıydı. Çocukluk yıllarında, atölyede kalmış olan atölye atölyesini izleyerek ilk heykelciliğe olan ilgisini keşfetti. 12 yaşındayken, bir heykelci atölyesindeki işçi olarak ilk heykelciliğini başladı. İlk heykelciliği, Konya'daki bir atölyede bir heykelci atölyesinde bir heykelci atölyesini izleyerek başladı.
